What if we stopped asking how to love better… and asked instead: what’s in the way?
You can get a better sense in our Naked & Unashamed podcast series. It holds space for unfiltered, unscripted advice, with raw, real conversation between two guides who understand the Cultural, spiritual, and emotional layers of intimacy.
1. Why We’re Going Unfiltered, Together
There’s a weight that builds when we avoid conversations that matter.
Things like:
-
How intimacy changes when we feel unseen
-
How fear of rejection keeps us from asking for love
-
How shame distorts even the softest touch
We’re not broken (far from that). But we are tired. And sometimes that tiredness is grief that never had language.
2. Black Women. Black Men. Still Here. Still Loving.
There’s something sacred about loving while Black (and we don’t talk about it enough). About choosing tenderness while carrying inherited wounds. About trying to build trust in a world that often sees us through suspicion or stereotype. Even in the so-called progressive spaces, racism can still be waiting just beyond the front door.
And yet, we keep loving. We navigate intimacy while surviving systems. We carry our people, our histories, and our hopes – all while trying to be present with another soul. That kind of love is not just romantic. It’s revolutionary. And we still love, still yearn, and still show up.
This space is about that. About what it means to love with your whole self, even when the world tells you to fragment.
3. It’s Reflection of Our Lived Experiences
We’re not here to tell you what to do. We’re asking the questions too!
-
Where did I learn my idea of love?
-
What do I believe about conflict and care?
-
Can I let someone see me when I’m not “together”?
And maybe most importantly, what kind of love am I available for now?
